Introduction In the 1990's, Hillcrest Cemetery in East Point, Georgia ceased operating as a business and became an abandoned, overgrown site. Families and neighbors came together to help clean up the area, and from those efforts our nonprofit organization was born in 2001. Nearly all maintentance and improvements, other than routine mowing, are provided by volunteers. Donations to HCMA are used for hiring professional lawn care companies for mowing and related tasks. We also take on special projects such as roadway improvements, signage and a planned veterans memorial from time to time. Schedules WORKDAYS We host a volunteer cleanup on the first Saturday of each month from 9am to 1pm.(Schedule subject to change. Please contact us or visit our blog for the latest information. SIGN-UP through Hands On Atlanta (optional) MEETINGS Our board meetings are open to the public. We are currently meeting on an as-needed basis. Please contact us or visit our blog for current information. DETAILS |
