We are here to help other families: Hillcrest Cemetery Memorial Association, Inc. is not a licensed dealer of funeral services, though we will assist you in any way we can, at no charge to you. We do not own the cemetery, but we try to provide some of the services and management that families deserve. We assist with about 20 burials per year. Some ways we can help in a time of need include:

  • Assistance with locating and marking pre-purchased grave lots.
  • Facilitating the purchase of lots that have been donated to us for resale.
  • Referrals to local service companies (funeral homes, monument companies, etc.)
  • Cleanup of the immediate area when needed. (We have a limited availability of volunteers, or we may be able assist you with locating a professional company to work on an area on your behalf.)
  • Availability to meet with you or your funeral home representatives on-site or by phone to discuss plans.

Whether you would like to request our services or not, please contact us to inform us of the interment details so that we may update the cemetery records and to ensure that other services or events do not conflict with yours.

What we can not do: We are not a licensed funeral practitioner so we can not sell original lots (only resales), nor can we provide opening, closing, vaults, etc. Your funeral home can take care of all the arrangements which are often handled by a cemetery. Please let them know about us and we will work with them as much as possible to keep the process seamless. We are not an owner or legal agent of the cemetery, and therefore have no legal link to any agreements that may have been made with the owners and/or Hillcrest Memorial Park, Inc.

Aftercare: Commercial cemeteries usually provide services after burial, such as leveling the ground after some time has passed and planting grass of the same type that is in the area. Our organization is not able to provide these services at this time, as we have to focus our limited resources on the larger projects that serve many. Please consider having your funeral home arrange for aftercare services at an appropriate time, or to return in a couple of months for a family project to tend the site.

Donations: HCMA is a maintenance association funded through donations. If you would like to contribute to the maintenance fund, please visit our donations page. No direct services are rendered by our association in exchange for donations. We are a 505(c)(13) organization. Donations to our general fund are tax deductible. For details on our non-profit status, please see the donations page.

We invite you to consider our organization as an "in lieu of flowers" contributions recipient, or in your other final financial arrangements.
